Queensland households receive the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program rebate. There is currently no additional state-level battery rebate in Queensland.

How to claim the rebate

Get quotes from CEC-accredited installers. The rebate is only available through installers accredited by the Clean Energy Council. Ask for at least three quotes.

Confirm the rebate is applied on the invoice. Your installer deducts the federal rebate — and any state scheme — directly from the total. You pay the net amount only.

The installer lodges the claim on your behalf. You do not interact with the Clean Energy Regulator or any state body. The process is invisible to you once the invoice is signed.
