Climate-tech data platform · 2025–2026

Australia's energy transition, tracked in plain English.

Zerra started as a data verification and traceability layer for sustainable aviation fuel and low-carbon energy markets — built through EnergyLab's Charge accelerator, tracking the Safeguard Mechanism, carbon markets, and the Guarantee of Origin scheme as they were built by regulators in real time. It's a completed project now, kept live below as a working record of what it did.

233
Safeguard Mechanism facilities tracked against baseline
2,923
Australian Carbon Credit Unit projects in the live register
978
LRET renewable energy projects, searchable by location
1hr
Edge-cached proxy onto the CER's live certificate registry

A data platform, not a product pitch.

Every page under Data below is backed by real government sources — the Clean Energy Regulator's REC Registry, the Safeguard Mechanism's annual facility reporting, the ACCU Scheme's project register, and the Guarantee of Origin scheme's certificate log — either queried live or refreshed on a schedule, not mocked up.

The Safeguard Mechanism tracker (233 facilities) and the ACCU project register (2,923 projects) are the deepest of the set: real ABNs, real reported emissions against baseline, real credit-surrender records, built out as static pages at scale the same way the site's later postcode-level solar tracker was.

2025
Founded as a climate-tech venture
Data verification and traceability for sustainable aviation fuel and low-carbon energy markets. Selected for EnergyLab's Charge accelerator.
2025–2026
Built out the regulatory data layer
Safeguard Mechanism facility tracking, the ACCU project register, GO Register, LRET, and a live CER REC Registry proxy — all queryable in plain English.
2026
Pivoted toward a consumer battery marketplace
The data-pipeline discipline carried over into a homeowner-facing battery and solar rebate tool — real-time pricing off installer rate cards instead of government registries.
Now
Continues as BatteryMe
The battery marketplace is now its own product, building toward becoming Australia's leading home battery install marketplace. This site stays live as the record of where it started.
Where the battery product continues
BatteryMe

A homeowner does a short assessment, the system prices the job in real time against installer rate cards on file, and it's matched to a best-fit installer — building toward Australia's leading home battery install marketplace.
