New scheme — launched 3 November 2025. The GO Register is in its earliest stage. Currently open for renewable electricity generators and hydrogen producers. More products coming through 2026.
Guarantee of Origin · GO Register

Australia's new clean energy
certification scheme, live.

The Guarantee of Origin Scheme issues certificates that prove where clean energy comes from and how it was made. Every registered participant is listed here, updated live from the Clean Energy Regulator. The scheme currently covers renewable electricity and hydrogen. Low-carbon liquid fuels — including sustainable aviation fuel — are expected to be added through 2026.

Renewable electricity · REGO · live now
For every megawatt-hour of renewable electricity generated by a registered facility, one REGO certificate is issued. It records when and where the electricity was made — hour by hour. More precise than the existing LGC system, and designed to outlast it when the Renewable Energy Target ends in 2030.
Hydrogen · PGO · live now
Hydrogen produced by electrolysis can be certified under the Product Guarantee of Origin. Each certificate records the emissions intensity per kilogram — the foundation for Australia's green hydrogen export credentials and eligibility for the $2/kg Hydrogen Production Tax Incentive from 2027.
SAF, biomethane & LCLF · coming 2026
Sustainable aviation fuel, renewable diesel and biomethane are not yet eligible. CER is consulting on the certification methodology through April 2026. Once finalised, producers will certify every litre — and Zerra will show it here as soon as the data is published.

LCLF methodology consultation
CER consulting on how to certify SAF, renewable diesel and biomethane. Closes 27 April 2026.
Late 2026
SAF & LCLF eligible
GO Scheme expands to cover low-carbon liquid fuels. First LCLF certificates expected.
2028–2029
