What is a renewable certificate?
Every megawatt-hour of clean electricity generated by an accredited power station creates one Large-scale Generation Certificate (LGC). Every rooftop solar or battery installation creates Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs). Companies buy and surrender these to meet their renewable energy obligations — or voluntarily to back green claims.
