Collectively, Cowes's 240 solar systems avoid an estimated 2,874 tonnes of CO₂ per year — the equivalent of removing 1,369 cars from the road. This is estimated using Victoria's average grid emissions intensity of 980 gCO₂/kWh, sourced from OpenElectricity, applied to an average system size of 9kW.
