3,208 solar installations registered with the Clean Energy Regulator · ranked top 15% in Victoria · data current as at 2026-04-03
Based on last week's Victoria grid mix (avg 980 gCO₂/kWh), Research's 3,208 solar systems typically avoid around 24.05 tonnes of CO₂ every hour during peak generation.

Research is one of Victoria's strongest solar communities, ranking 72nd in the state — ahead of 90% of all Victoria postcodes tracked by the Clean Energy Regulator. New installations eased in the past 12 months (168 systems, 29% below the previous year), a natural slowdown after earlier periods of stronger uptake.
The combined impact is substantial: Research's solar community avoids an estimated 38,418 tonnes of CO₂ every year — equivalent to taking 18,294 cars off the road or powering around 7,684 average Australian homes with clean electricity. This is estimated using Victoria's average grid emissions intensity of 980 gCO₂/kWh, sourced from OpenElectricity, applied to an average system size of 9kW.
